Raetihi is a small town near the Mountains, only 10minute drive from Ohakune it is now strangely one of the (if not the) cheapest places in New Zealand, having driven there it’s hard to work out why, it’s a good location and seems to have a lot going for it, but as these photos show, it’s does seem to be a town on the verge of collapse.
Some shots taken of some ducks/swans during the field trip recky and then at The top o’ the Bruce complex which is at the Whakapapa ski field. Didn’t brave the camera on the slopes so these where taken on our day off and thus don’t go too far away from the road.
Popped out during lunch to watch the All Whites Parade, a combination event celebrating Wellington Phoenix playing Argentina’s Boca Junior on Friday and celebrating the All Whites being the only undefeated team in the recent World Cup.
40,000 people where expected to watch the parade, from my small spot I reckon there were a lot more.
Photos were taken with my Manual Focus Tamron SP 35-210mm F3.5-4.2 so not perfect but I just grabbed the camera this morning on the way out the door and it was the lens attached.
So one month after moving in here are some photos of the house, still needs some organising but getting there.
Photos taken with a very wide angle lens so some distortion and without much preparation so not the greatest shots but hopefully serve their purpose.
