Putangirua Pinnacles

Having a couple of nights away in the Wairarapa we drove down from Martinborough to the Pinnacles, which were used as part of the Dimholt Road/Road of the Dead in Lord of the Rings. Impressive rock formations with interesting fossils here and there too.

Updates

As you can see I have moved/copied Shelby pictures here so she can have her own section which makes it easier to manage and update. Also helps from a chronological point of view with new photos of her appearing first in terms of posts. The old site redirects to here by default but is still accessible via the link to the right.

Return to Shelby

After having to go back to the UK for a while my human Geoff returned and was all clickity with that machine that makes these pictures of me. At first I was a bit confused with the break in my routine with him about, but the day time snuggles soon made up for it. What I have to put up with…

Shelby Arrives

Photos of me taken by my humans, Geoff and Beth. I found them wandering around at the Wellington Cats Protection League and adopted them on the 28th of March 2009.

I was a stray for a number of years before being rescued, I like humans and snuggles but can get a bit frit by strange noises and things. The CPL looked after me well but I was quite unhappy with all the other cats that were there, I am much happier now I have my own home with inbuilt laps to snuggle on.

(This is a replacement for my old website that is easier for my humans to update. New entries about me will all appear here under the Shelby category and Shelby tag, I’m that important! ).

Makara Beach

After Beth left for the field trip real I took a drive to Makara Beach again.  A fab spot about 20 minutes drive from Kelburn.  Was an early start and steam was rising from the fields and streams on route over the Makara pass. Lack of parking options on this narrow road prevented me from stopping to capture that though. Spent a few hours at Makara enjoying the mid-winter sun.
